Study on Flexural Performance of Prestressed Concrete Steel Strand Square Piles with Reinforcement

A new type of precast pile, namely steel strand square piles with reinforcement (PRS), is proposed in present study, which uses as a prestressed and equipped hot-rolled reinforcement. Two kinds full-scale pile specimens different were constructed to study the bending performance by tests. The finite element model was also performed differences resistance, deformation capacity, crack failure mode because ratio. results show that not pulled off, concrete compression zone crushed. analysis are close test piles, can simulate flexural well. experimental closer theoretical calculation cracking moment. ultimate moment value about 25% more than value. parametric shows for PRS 0.27% reinforcement, best achieved 0.64% non-prestressed For 0.37%
